Joy Womack is one of the most recognized American dancers of her generation and an iconic figure in international ballet. Born in Beverly Hills, she joined the prestigious Bolshoi Ballet Academy in Moscow at
just 15 years old — a path that is exceptionally rare for a Western artist. She graduated with the highest distinction (the “red diploma”) and became the first American in history to join and dance with the Bolshoi
Ballet.
